PLO official: 600 Palestinian terrorists serving prison sentences are getting college degrees

“Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake said that approximately 600 Palestinian prisoners in the occupation’s prisons are enrolling at the Al-Quds Open University to obtain an undergraduate degree. He emphasized that education is the weapon of the prisoners to culturally and intellectually issue a challenge, and to overcome the time of the imprisonment. Karake said in a radio interview: ‘This year prisoners completed their undergraduate studies in the prisons, including prisoner Majd Takatka, who completed social work studies in prison while serving an 18 year sentence.’ Likewise, he noted that a delegation from the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs visited and congratulated his family.”
