I Return to Haifa/ Khaled Al-Habar
“I return to Haifa, return to the place of the soul
On a bird’s wing, or on a missile…
I return to Haifa, return to the villages of Haifa
Hassan [Nasrallah] promised me and told me: [We will reach] what is beyond, what is beyond Haifa.”
Ghassan Kanafani – was a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and a writer who focused mainly on the themes of Palestinian struggle against Israel and for an independent state.
