PA TV reporter: International treaties allow Palestinians to carry out “operations” (i.e., terror attacks)
Official PA TV program Topic of the Day, on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy
Official PA TV reporter: "[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas does not hide his adherence to the peace option, which was clearly proven when he accepted the invitations of two presidents, French President Francois Hollande and Russian Tsar (sic., President) Vladimir Putin (they invited him to a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu –Ed.), while Netanyahu raises obstacles and dodges the meeting, and this exemplifies the contrast between truth and lie. Worse than that, Netanyahu condemned the terror attacks that shook Istanbul (i.e., 2 bombings in Istanbul, Turkey, on Dec. 10, 2016, 38 killed), and afterwards demanded that Turkish President [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] condemn the operations (i.e., terror attacks) that the Palestinians carry out, despite the international treaties allowing them [to do] that."
In September 2016 Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to meet in Russia. Netanyahu refused because the Palestinians had preconditions. French President Francois Hollande invited Netanyahu and Abbas to meet in France in December 2016. Netanyahu refused because the meeting was going to be the day after the French conference of foreign ministers to discuss the Israeli Palestinian issue - which Netanyahu rejects as an attempt to impose an agreement on Israel rather than reaching one through direct negotiations – and Netanyahu viewed the invitation as part of the conference. Netanyahu says that he is willing to meet with Abbas as long as there are no preconditions.
