"[PA] Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Governor of the Jerusalem District Adnan Al-Husseini said that [US President-elect Donald] Trump's leanings and decisions will not change the facts in Islamic-Christian Arab Jerusalem, as the city belongs to its Palestinian owners.
Al-Husseini said today (Tuesday) [Dec. 13, 2016] in an interview with Radio Mawtini: 'The statements of [US President-elect] Donald Trump's advisor [Kellyanne Conway], according to which the new US president is examining the transfer of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, constitute an indication of the policy of the new American administration in everything related to the Palestinian issue.'
Al-Husseini emphasized that a comprehensive peace process must be examined, and said that ‘the region cannot suffer more problems.' He added: 'If the new American administration thinks that it can do something that ignores the rights of the Palestinian people, that is a mistake.' Likewise, he emphasized the adherence of the Palestinian people to its rights, which it will never renounce."
US President Elect Donald Trump's top aide Kellyanne Conway said on Dec. 12, 2016, that moving the American embassy to Jerusalem is a "very big priority for this president-elect, Donald Trump."
