Abbas’ Fatah wished “the real Palestinians” a “good year” in a post on Facebook, parading some of the movement’s role models, among them several “Martyrs,” all of whom were either murderers or heads of murderous terror organizations.
The largest picture among the role models on Fatah’s image above is terrorist murderer Dalal Mughrabi who led the killing of 37 Israelis in a bus hijacking in 1978. Additional pictures (left to right) are PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, terrorist Omar Al-Qassem, Yasser Arafat, Islamic Jihad founder Fathi Shaqaqi, Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin, and Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Abu Ali Mustafa.
Fatah described what it means to be “a real Palestinian,” and predicted that “a people whose leaders are Martyrs” - as the leaders singled out in the photos, except Abbas - “will undoubtedly triumph with Allah’s help”:

In another post, Fatah presented the same terror leaders as “heroic Martyrs” and “swore” it will “continue our revolution until victory:”

The celebration posts of Fatah’s 52nd anniversary concentrate on Fatah’s “leaders” - and leading terrorists. Palestinian Media Watch has also documented Fatah’s glorification of specific terror attacks.
As is its policy, Fatah glorified terrorist Dalal Mughrabi in another post as the “Bride of Palestine.” [Official Fatah Facebook page, Dec. 27, 2016]
Adding to the message that Fatah is proud of its killers and adheres to the option of “armed struggle” and violence, Fatah posted a photo of the Chairman of the Information Committee of the Fatah Mobilization and Organization Commission

The posted statement by this Fatah official urges Fatah to meet with Hamas "on the basis of the partnership that unites all of us.” According to the drawing, this unifying basis is violence against Israel.

In addition to these posts, Fatah has celebrated the 52nd anniversary of its “Launch” by glorifying numerous of “Martyrs,” among them many terrorist murderers: Arch-terrorist Abu Jihad who orchestrated attacks in which at least 125 Israelis were murdered; Marwan Barghouti, who is serving 5 life sentences for planning attacks that killed 5; Karim Younes, who kidnapped and killed an Israeli soldier; Raed Al-Karmi, who was responsible for attacks that killed 9 Israelis; Abu Ali Iyad, who was responsible for several terror attacks in 1966; Kamal Adwan, who was responsible for Fatah’s terrorist operations in Israel in the 1960’s and 1970’s and was a senior member of Black September. Abu Ali Iyad was appointed head of Fatah military operations in 1966 and was responsible for several terror attacks. The attacks included a bombing in the town of Beit Yosef in northern Israel on April 25, 1966 (injuring 3 people), and placing bombs in the town of Margaliot in northern Israel on July 19, 1966. He was killed in 1971 in Jordan by the Jordanian army when it forced Fatah members out of the country.
Abu Ali Mustafa - Secretary-General of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP, which rejected the Oslo Accords (1993), has planned and carried out numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians since its founding in 1967 and throughout the Palestinian terror campaign between 2000-2005 (the Intifada).
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960’s - 1980’s. These attacks, which killed a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Ahmed Yassin - Founder and former head of the terrorist organization Hamas. The Hamas movement is responsible for numerous terror attacks and the deaths of hundreds of Israeli civilians.
Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history, known as the Coastal Road massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70.
Fathi Shaqaqi - Founder of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, which has carried out more than 1,000 terror attacks, killing and wounding hundreds of Israeli civilians. He was killed by Israel in Malta in 1995.
Kamal Adwan was responsible for Fatah’s terrorist operations in Israel in the 1960’s and 1970’s and was a senior member of Black September. He was killed by Israeli forces in April 1973.
Karim Younes - an Israeli Arab serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping and killing Israeli soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980 together with his cousin Maher Younes. Originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced his sentence in 2012.
Marwan Barghouti - Palestinian terrorist who is serving 5 life sentences for orchestrating three shooting attacks that killed 5 people: one attack in Jerusalem (June 12, 2001) in which Greek monk Tsibouktsakis Germanus was murdered by terrorist Ismail Radaida and another unidentified terrorist, another attack at a gas station in Givat Zeev near Jerusalem (Jan. 15, 2002) in which Yoela Hen, 45, was murdered by terrorists led by Mohammed Matla, and one shooting and stabbing attack at the Sea Food Market restaurant in Tel Aviv (March 5, 2002) in which Eli Dahan, 53, Yosef Habi, 52, and Police Officer Sergeant-Major Salim Barakat, 33, were murdered by terrorist Ibrahim Hasouna. When arrested by Israel in 2002, Barghouti headed the Tanzim (Fatah terror faction). After he was convicted and imprisoned, he was re-elected member of the Palestinian Authority parliament. On Dec. 4, 2016, he was elected to Fatah's Central Committee.
Omar Al-Qassem - Led a terror squad that crossed the Jordan River into Israel to carry out a terror attack in 1968. Caught by Israeli soldiers, the squad killed two soldiers. Al-Qassem was given two life sentences, and died in his prison cell 21 years later.
Raed Al-Karmi - was a senior Tanzim (Fatah terror faction) operative and responsible for the murder of 9 Israelis in several attacks: Etgar Zeituni and Motti Dayan on Jan. 23, 2001; Zvi Shelef on May 31, 2001; Danny Yehuda on June 18, 2001; Elie Na’aman on July 4, 2001; Dov Roseman on Aug. 26, 2001; Hananya Ben Avraham on Oct. 5, 2001; soldier Yaniv Levy on Aug. 28, 2001 and Israeli army officer Erez Merhavi on Sept. 6, 2001. Al-Karmi was killed by the Israeli army on Jan. 14, 2002.
