Abbas condemns terror attacks in Istanbul

“[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the terror attack that took place early yesterday morning [Jan. 1, 2016] in the city of Istanbul, Turkey, which left dozens of dead and wounded (39 killed, see note below –Ed.).
The president expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart [President] Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the government of Turkey, and to the Turkish people over the victims of the attack. He again condemned the terror attacks and expressed his complete opposition to them. The president emphasized Palestine’s solidarity with Turkey and with the Turkish people against terror, and the need to mobilize regional and international efforts in order to fight it and uproot it.”
A shooting attack in which 39 were killed took place at a nightclub in Istanbul, Turkey, in the early morning hours of New Year's Eve, Jan. 1, 2017. The terrorist, who was not identified, managed to flee the scene. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
