Fatah official calls for Palestinian violence to stop alleged Israeli “Judaization of the land and Jerusalem”
Headline: "At the end of the events of the Seventh [Fatah] Conference, Fatah is unified behind its leadership"
"Fatah Revolutionary Council member Muhammad Al-Namourah, who heads the membership committee of the [Fatah] Mobilization and Organization Commission said… regarding the internal situation of Fatah: ‘Undoubtedly the movement’s new leadership will concentrate its efforts in the coming period on awakening the movement after the [Seventh Fatah] Conference, as this period requires the awakening of all of the Fatah frameworks, so that they will all be able to carry the burdens of the coming period, which is one of the most difficult periods that has befallen our Palestinian issue. This is especially so in light of the fact that there is an enemy that is lying in wait for us, hurrying [to expand] the settlement in its ugliest forms, denying the Palestinian rights, and making efforts to Judaize the land and Jerusalem. Therefore, the coming period must be a period of reviving the popular resistance (i.e., term used by Palestinians that include the use of violence) so that it will include all of the Palestinian territories in order to press this occupation in order to achieve our Palestinian national rights.’"
The article appears in the January 2017 edition of the magazine of Fatah’s Information and Culture Commission in Lebanon, Al-Quds, and was posted on the commission’s website Falestinona on Jan. 19, 2017.
