PLO official claims Israel implements a "slow death policy" against Palestinian prisoners

"Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake said that the death as a Martyr (Shahid) of prisoner Muhammad Al-Jalad is a crime that is comprised of several crimes, which joins the list of crimes perpetrated by the occupation authorities, and the slow death policy being implemented against the prisoners. He warned against the deaths as Martyrs of additional prisoners, and especially injured and sick, due to the disregard for their lives and not granting the treatment they need.
Karake explained in an interview with Radio Mawtini that Martyr prisoner Muhammad Al-Jalad fell victim to the Israeli organized crime and terror against the prisoners.”
Muhammad Al-Jalad - Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab an Israeli soldier with a screwdriver at Hawara checkpoint outside Nablus on Nov. 9, 2016. The screwdriver failed to penetrate the soldier’s flak jacket, and Al-Jalad was shot and wounded by other soldiers at the scene. Al-Jalad died of his wounds at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in Israel in February 2017.
