DFLP official calls “to revive the popular resistance,” and not rely the US’s positions or its “meaningless” threats, especially “in light of the fact that its aid has in effect stopped”

Headline: "Abu Laila: The political solution ended after the arrival of Trump, and the continued reliance on the political process is a serious mistake"
"Deputy Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP, a member of the PLO –Ed.) Qais Abd Al-Karim 'Abu Laila' called to reexamine the internal organization of the [Palestinian] house… during a political convention held in the Qalqilya Municipality hall for the 48th anniversary of the establishment of the DFLP… He also said that what is called the political solution reached its end after the arrival of [US President Donald] Trump, and that the continued reliance on the political process is a serious mistake. Therefore, we must pave a new path using the national [Hamas-Fatah reconciliation] agreement document and the latest decisions of the [PLO] Central Council (i.e., to stop the security coordination with Israel and limit relations with it) without any hesitation.
Abu Laila emphasized the need to revive the popular resistance (i.e., term used by Palestinians to also refer to violence), which if it escalates will be able to take a toll on the occupation, to cause the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, and to make Israel give an accounting for its settlement policy that is internationally condemned. He said: 'We must initiate and take positions without hesitating or relying on the positions of the US or its threats, which are meaningless, especially in light of the fact that its aid has in effect stopped. Afterwards, we must act to expose Israel's shame to the world.' He called to reexamine the relations with Israel, which has turned its back and shirked off all of the agreements. Therefore, the time has come to take a clear position regarding the relations with Israel in order to force it to be more willing to comply with international law."

The DFLP (Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine) has carried out numerous terror attacks, including the Ma’alot massacre in which 22 schoolchildren and 4 adults were killed (May 15, 1974), the Avivim school bus massacre, in which 9 children and 3 adults were killed (May 22, 1970), the Kiryat Shmona massacre (18 killed, April 11, 1974), the Beit Shean attack (4 killed, Nov. 11, 1974), the Jaffa street bombing in Jerusalem (7 killed, Nov. 13, 1975) the Tiberias bombing (2 high school students killed, May 15, 1979), the Night of the Gliders (in which two terrorists infiltrated Israel from Lebanon using hang gliders, killing 6 Israeli soldiers on Nov. 25, 1987), and the Geha junction suicide bombing near Tel Aviv (4 killed, Dec. 25, 2003.) The DFLP has participated in and claimed responsibility for dozens of other terror attacks.

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising/resistance,” and “popular uprising/resistance" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437
