The Youth Department of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs in the Center [West Bank] completed the preparations - which took almost two months - for holding the first Brothers of Martyr (Shahida) Dalal Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children) Camp for young people. The camp is meant to be held in the Madinat Al-Amal [sports club] in the Jericho district on [March] 7-12 [2017], with the participation of more than 45 male and female participants from among the university students and representatives of the institutes for young people in the center (i.e., West Bank) districts.
Director-General of the Center Council Mu'tasim Abu Gharbieh noted that the staff of the Youth Department, together with the monitoring committee, completed all of the preparations and a series of preparatory meetings. The staff met with a number of relevant national institutions and figures, the most prominent of them being the district governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, representatives of the security institutions and national institutions, the Madinat Al-Amal administration, District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam, and Rashida Mughrabi, the sister of Martyr Dalal Mughrabi. Abu Gharbieh also praised the support that the Center Council received from Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs [and Fatah Central Committee Secretary] Jibril Rajoub and Secretary-General of the Supreme Council Issam Al-Qaddumi…
Director of the Camps and Refugee Camps Directorate in the Center Council and camp director Bilal Abu Ramouz said that the central purpose of the camp is to mark the anniversary of [the death of] Martyr Dalal Mughrabi and her brothers who participated in the Kamal Adwan operation (i.e., the Coastal Road Massacre, 37 murdered, 12 of them children) in 1978. He added that the camp will promote a sublime national and humanitarian slogan, expressed by the demand to return the bodies of the Palestinian revolution's Martyrs, and particularly the Martyrs of the numbered cemeteries (i.e., Israeli cemeteries for terrorists and enemy soldiers), the body of Martyr Dalal Mughrabi, and the Martyrs of the Al-Aqsa uprising (Palestinian euphemism for several months of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis 2015 - 2016 -Ed.) whose pure bodies are still in the occupation's [morgue] refrigerators.
He added: 'The camp program includes a number of explanatory and mobilizing national programs and activities, the holding of a mass rally at the Al-Manara Square in the center of Ramallah, and a meeting of the participants with Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs Jibril Rajoub and Rashida Mughrabi at the [Joseph] Blatter Academy [for football].’"
Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history, known as the Coastal Road massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, murdering 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70.
Jibril Rajoub also holds the following positions: Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the Palestinian Scout Association (PSA).
Kamal Adwan was responsible for Fatah’s terrorist operations in Israel in the early 1970’s and was a senior member of Black September. He was killed by Israeli forces in April 1973.
Coastal Road Massacre - In March 1978, a group of Fatah terrorists from Lebanon led by Dalal Mughrabi hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway. Confronted by the Israeli army, the terrorists murdered many of the passengers on the bus, in total 37 civilians,12 of them children, and wounded more than 70. The attack, orchestrated by arch-terrorist Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir), is known in Israel as the Coastal Road Massacre.
The Cemeteries for Enemy Casualties are two burial sites maintained by the Israeli army for burying the bodies of enemy soldiers as well as terrorists. They are fenced and well-marked. Graves have markers instead of gravestones. Burial is temporary, on the assumption that the bodies will eventually be returned to their countries of origin. No ceremony is held. The bodies are buried in numbered caskets, after their identities have been documented.
Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, including stabbings, shootings, throwing Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. It started in September 2015 and as of July 2016, 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and over 500 wounded.
