"[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah said… in the speech that he gave at the Third International Prisoners' Conference today, Wednesday [March 15, 2017], in Ramallah…: 'First, allow me to direct greetings of honor and admiration on behalf of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, the [PA] government, and myself to our heroic prisoners who are behind the occupation's bars. They have sacrificed their freedom for the freedom of our people and for our just cause. They prove every day that they are the most concrete example of our people's struggle for its freedom like the rest of the peoples of the world and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem.'
The prime minister continued: 'I have the honor today of participating in the opening of the events of the Third International Prisoners' Day Conference and conveying to you the greetings of His Honor President brother Mahmoud Abbas and his words of praise for all of the efforts supporting our courageous prisoners in their battle to defend their human rights and dignity. I appreciate the role of those supporting our cause among the free people of the world and their standing alongside the members of our people and our prisoners against the injustice of the occupation and its tyranny.'"
