“Fatah Movement Central Committee member and Commissioner for Relations with Lebanon Azzam Al-Ahmad met yesterday [March 25, 2017] with [Grand] Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian , in the presence of Palestinian Ambassador in Lebanon Ashraf Dabour and Secretary of the PLO Factions in Lebanon Fathi Abu Al-Ardat.
Al-Ahmad updated Mufti Derian regarding the situation in Palestine and the challenges before which the Palestinian cause stands in resistance to the occupation, its settlement projects, and its attempts to Judaize the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity, and prime among them the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the claim of the alleged Temple. He also updated him regarding the struggle that the Palestinians are carrying out through all possible ways, and the Jerusalem residents in particular, in order to defend the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity and the Palestinian Arab identity of Jerusalem, and also regarding the Palestinian struggle to end the occupation and establish an independent state.”
