The Facebook page of the Israeli Arab Hadash party yesterday published a post expressing sympathy for and solidarity with Palestinian terrorist prisoners and their hunger strike. The post includes text (see translation below) and a video that opens with a picture that includes the hashtag "#The_[hunger]strike_of_dignity" and the pictures of four Palestinian arch-terrorists:
Abdallah Barghouti, prepared explosives for terror attacks in which 67 civilians were murdered
Marwan Barghouti, planned terror attacks in which at least 5 civilians were murdered
Karim Younes, kidnapped and murdered an Israeli soldier
Ahmad Sa'adat was the head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and
has been praised on Palestinian TV broadcasts for planning the murder of Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavam Ze'evi
The picture of the terrorists is also shown again during the video as the following words are heard:
"Through you we will build a more beautiful tomorrow."
Also appearing in the video is a picture of prisoner Fuad Al-Shubaki, a PA official who was responsible for the weapons smuggling attempt on the ship Karine A in January 2002.
A segment from the song in the post's video praises the prisoners with the words:
"You are the glory of our nation
You are the leaders
And the crown on our heads
And you are the lords...
Through you we will build a more beautiful tomorrow
Through you we will continue and we will triumph"
The Hadash Party also called on Israeli Arabs to participate in activities of solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners throughout the country, and said that the terrorist prisoners "are paying the price for their just struggle." [Israeli Arab political party Hadash's Facebook page, April 19, 2017]
It would appear that the post constitutes a violation of Clause 24(B)(2) of Israel's Anti-Terror Law, which forbids publishing "praise, sympathy for, or encouragement of an act of terror, support of it, or solidarity with it."
The following is the text of the post on the Facebook page of the Hadash Party:
Headline: "MAKI and Hadash call to hold activities of solidarity with the prisoners on the ground"
"MAKI (i.e., the Communist Party of Israel) and [the Israeli Arab] Hadash [party] salute the prisoners in the occupation's prisons, who two days ago (Monday) launched a hunger strike - precisely on Palestinian Prisoner's Day, April 17 - against the occupation's tyranny and abuse. [MAKI and Hadash] call on the activists to launch a series of activities on the ground as a sign of solidarity with the prisoners in the Empty Stomachs Campaign that they are waging. MAKI and Hadash emphasize that the prisoners in the occupation's prisons are paying the price for their just struggle for the freedom of their people and its independence, as they are suffering every moment from the occupation's brutality and abuse, as well as the denial of their freedom. For dozens of years the prisoners' movement has known heroic campaigns of groups and individuals for an improvement in the conditions of their imprisonment. This is the most minimal of the [prisoners'] just demands, above which the demand to break the jailer's chains and shatter his bars and the demand for the freedom of an entire people remain unchallenged.
MAKI and Hadash call on their activists throughout the country to launch a campaign of activities on the ground and struggle activities in all of the cities and towns...."

The song played in the video in honor of the Palestinian prisoners was originally a song of praise for Arab fighters by Lebanese singer Julia Boutros. The song is played as pictures of the five terrorist prisoners mentioned above are shown, as well as pictures of people protesting for the prisoners, and the times of the demonstrations for the prisoners. The following are the lyrics of the song "My Beloved":
"Through you the prisoners will be released
Through you the land will be liberated
Through your fists, through your fury
The home and honor will be preserved
You are the builders of culture
And you are the revival of values
And you are eternal
Like the eternity of the cedars on the peaks
You are the glory of our nation
You are the leaders
And the crown on our heads
And you are the lords
My beloved, my beloved
I kiss the noble soles of your feet
Thanks to them honor merits honor
They were planted in the glory of the land
So stumble not and tremble not
Through you we will change the world
And fate will hear our voice
Through you we will build a more beautiful tomorrow
Through you we will continue and we will triumph."
