Netanyahu employs "hellish plan" to "blackmail" the world with pictures from the Holocaust in order to justify describing Palestinian "fighter prisoners" as "terrorists"
Excerpt of an op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is taking advantage of the world’s preoccupation with the war on terror and is attempting to pass his hellish plan to crush the Palestinian cause. This is while in his head is the wicked thought that the world does not distinguish between a terrorist criminal and the last of the freedom fighters, and that the world will submit to his blackmail every time he presents pictures from the Jewish Holocaust and the sword of Antisemitism in order to justify the description of the Palestinian fighter prisoners fighting for freedom as terrorists.”
In a governmental meeting on April 23, 2017, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “The Palestinian Authority needs to stop funding the terrorists sitting in prison and stop funding the families of terrorists who were killed while committing their crimes. This is a simple and clear test of the Palestinians’ desire for peace. You cannot be in favor of peace with Israel, and at the same time glorify and fund the murderers of Israelis and the murderers of other innocents.” The statement came after Netanyahu, in an interview with Fox News on April 21, 2017, called on the PA to “stop paying terrorists.”
