“The statistic data shows that the rate of refugees in Palestine stands at 42% of all the Palestinian residents, as of 2016. Likewise, the number of refugees registered with UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) stands at 5.59 million Palestinian refugees, as of Jan. 1, 2015.
Approximately 29% of the Palestinian refugees live in 58 [refugee] camps - 10 of them in Jordan, 9 of them in Syria, 12 in Lebanon, 19 in the West Bank, and 8 in the Gaza Strip.”
