Square in Jenin named after terrorist Karim Younes

The image shows the mother of murderer Karim Younes and Jenin District Governor Ibrahim Ramadan sitting together during the naming of a square in Jenin after Karim Younes under the auspices of “under the auspices of Jenin District Governor [Ibrahim Ramadan], the Fatah Movement, the Jenin Municipality, and the Supreme Council for Aiding and Supporting the Prisoners.” [Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 19, 2017]

The naming of the square was part of a demonstration of support for terrorist prisoners who have been hunger striking since April 17, 2017.

Karim Younes - an Israeli Arab serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping and murdering Israeli soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980 together with his cousin Maher Younes. Younes was originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced his sentence in 2012.
