PLO committee member calls for “resistance in all of its forms,” a term Palestinians often use to refer to violence
Headline: "The Palestinian Liberation Front: The response to the occupation's crimes will be through national unity"
"Palestinian Liberation Front [PLF] (i.e., a member of the PLO) Political Committee member Muhammad Al-Soudi emphasized that the response to the occupation's crimes, and particularly the crime of assassinating young Iyad Munir Arafat Ghaith (i.e., terrorist, shot at Israeli forces) who was shot by an undercover unit of the occupation forces in southern Hebron, will be by strengthening the national unity against the occupation's crimes and its plans… Al-Soudi also said: 'The assassination of young Ghaith is part of an ongoing chain of organized terror that the occupation is committing against our people.' He noted that these crimes and the repeated attacks against our people in the West Bank and Jerusalem, the continuation of building in the settlements, and the ongoing arrests of young people and children necessitate strengthening the national unity, ending the [Hamas-Fatah] rift, and heeding the obligatory call of the suffering of our people and the blood of the Martyrs (Shahids) to join the unlimited all-out confrontation against this occupation, which experience with it has proven that it will not return our rights except by resistance in all of its forms (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence)."
Iyad Munir Arafat Ghaith – a Palestinian terrorist who shot at Israeli army forces in Hebron on June 28, 2017, as they approached the home of a Palestinian arms dealer and manufacturer in order to arrest him. Ghaith was shot and killed by the forces.
The terms "all means," “all forms,” "peaceful uprising/resistance,” and “popular uprising/resistance" are often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437
