"The [Palestinian] Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) marked the 50th anniversary of its establishment, which took place yesterday [July 15, 2017]… Deputy Secretary-General of the Democratic Front [for the Liberation of Palestine] Qais Abd Al-Karim Abu Laila, in a speech that he gave on behalf of the national forces, spoke about the meanings of the Launch (Intilaqa) of the PPSF… Abu Laila rejected the occupation’s demands regarding the prisoners and the Martyrs' (Shahids') families and the accusation of incitement against our people’s leadership. He said: 'They want us to deny our struggle and our heroes and erase their names, but we say that the prisoners are freedom fighters and our heroic Martyrs are not terrorists. The terror is the ongoing occupation of our land.’"
