In a press statement yesterday [July 22, 2017], Fatah Revolutionary Council member and [Fatah] Movement Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi demanded that the Hamas Movement immediately heed the call of President Abbas and the leadership, answer the call of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, and the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem, put an end to the [Fatah-Hamas] rift immediately, and direct the compass towards Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, because Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are bigger than any disagreement. He added: ‘Our hands are extended to Hamas to end the rift, on the basis of Palestine, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque being bigger than all, and therefore [Hamas] must answer the call of justice, the call of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the members of our people who are carrying out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic).’”
