Arab League lies: Israel does medical experiments on prisoners and murders them

The Arab League has adopted some of the Palestinian Authority’s most odious libels and is disseminating them as if they were facts. The following is from a new official report of the Arab League’s Department of Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories:
“The Arab League condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, and particularly the holding of the Martyrs’ (Shahids’) bodies and theft of their organs, the legislation of additional racist laws, and the proposal of 120 racist laws against the prisoners... carrying out medical experiments on the prisoners within the prisons... it has even intentionally killed prisoners, whether through medical negligence or [after] abducting them to secret prisons.”

All of these libels echo lies and demonization that the PA leadership disseminates to its people. Demonizing Israelis and Jews by spreading these and a wide range of other libels is a fundamental component of PA messaging to its people. By offering its people a steady diet of lies and libels about Israel and Jews the PA leaders assure a high level of hatred and a large pool of potential terrorists.
The following are a number of examples of these libels that were included in the Arab League’s report being disseminated by PA leaders, as reported by Palestinian Media Watch:
PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs:
“The [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs accused the Israeli Prison Service’s doctors who are working in the prisons and the Israeli doctors who are working in the security forces and at the army bases of torturing the prisoners, exerting psychological pressure on them, medically neglecting them, abandoning them as prey to all of the diseases that are worsening in their bodies... and that in addition to this, information on mistakes and medical experiments that were conducted on the prisoners during their treatment is being hidden.”

2. PA Libel: Israel murders terrorist prisoners
Op-ed, Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake:
“With the fall of Martyr injured prisoner Muhammad Al-Jalad on Feb. 8, 2017, the number of Martyr prisoners since 1967 rises to 210 Martyrs who were murdered by torture and medical neglect, and who were arbitrarily executed within the prison or during their arrest... The prisons and the arbitrary actions against the prisoners have become a tool of death, with which prisoners are intentionally murdered.”

Fatah Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners' Affairs in the Gaza Strip
“Spokesman of the Fatah Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners' Affairs in the Gaza Strip... Israel uses the Palestinian Martyrs’ bodies as an experimental field and as bargaining and marketing chips in order to achieve political and electoral gains, especially in light of the talk of a new prisoner exchange deal. This is alongside the many suspicions that the Israeli occupation stole organs from the Martyrs’ bodies.”

Among the Arab League’s 22 member states which are disseminating the PA libels are Egypt and Jordan, both of which have peace treaties with Israel, and other allies of the West, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The Secretary-General of the Arab League today is an Egyptian, former Foreign Minister of Egypt Ahmed Aboul-Gheit.

Headline: “The Arab League condemned the holding of the Martyrs’ bodies”
“The Arab League condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, and particularly the holding of the Martyrs’ (Shahids’) bodies and theft of their organs, the legislation of additional racist laws, and the proposal of 120 racist laws against the prisoners.
In a report that was published yesterday [Aug. 14, 2017] by the Arab League’s Department of Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories, it was said that ‘The occupation’s authorities are still continuing to hold the bodies of the Martyrs in the numbered cemeteries (i.e., Israeli cemeteries for terrorists and enemy soldiers), which are closed military cemeteries where the bodies are buried at a depth of less than 50 centimeters and the graves are encircled with rocks without any gravestone.’
The report added that Israel is not just stopping at Martyrs, but is also carrying out medical experiments on the prisoners within the prisons. What is more, it has even intentionally killed prisoners, whether through medical negligence or [after] abducting them to secret prisons.”

The Cemeteries for Enemy Casualties are two burial sites maintained by the Israeli army for burying the bodies of enemy soldiers as well as terrorists. They are fenced and well-marked. Graves have markers instead of gravestones. Burial is temporary, on the assumption that the bodies will eventually be returned to their countries of origin. No ceremony is held. The bodies are buried in numbered caskets, after their identities have been documented.
