“District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam visited the monument in memory of the Martyrs (Shahids) of the Palestinian revolution in El-Bireh on Friday [Sept. 1, 2017] together with representatives of the [PA] Security Forces, laid wreathes of flowers, and asked that Allah have mercy on their souls.
Ghannam emphasized that our holidays will not be complete unless all of our male and female prisoners are released from the occupation’s prisons so they can enjoy freedom together with their relatives and loved ones. She also emphasized that our Martyrs will always remain in our hearts and souls, and we will all remain loyal to their path until we are liberated from the occupation and realize everything for which they died as Martyrs… She also noted that the majority of our people and prisoners are receiving the [Eid Al-Adha] holiday with tears due to the absence of their sons, whose most basic human rights have been denied in the cells of the oppressive jailor, or who are perfuming the ground with the scent of their blood that was spilled for the epic of struggle whose title is Palestine.”
