Governor of Hebron: Cave of the Patriarchs is “purely Islamic,” Israel’s “racist” steps won’t succeed in “Judaizing” it, lays wreath on “grave of the Martyrs” shaped like map of Israel

     “[District Governor of Hebron Kamel] Hamid praised the large and exceptional attendance of the residents who filled the plazas of the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs), even though the occupation delayed the worshippers’ arrival through the checkpoints around it. He also emphasized that this is a purely Islamic mosque, and that all of these racist steps will not succeed in Judaizing the mosque and the old city [of Hebron]… Afterwards, Hamid lay a wreath of flowers on the grave of the Martyrs (Shahids) and read the Al-Fatiha Sura [from the Quran] for their souls at the Al-Sheikh neighborhood of Hebron.”
