Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub: "[Abbas' speech at the UN] was by an angry leader, not a desperate one. He did not curse anybody. He even talked about the racist and fascist villains politely, as befits a leader. I say to our brother Fawzi Barhoum (of Hamas): Abbas is speaking to a world a part of which is convinced that the fascist occupation is the victim and we are the criminals. Indeed, this is a fascist and racist occupation, and what is happening in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem is a distorted model, even for the Nazis."
