Headline: "The forces of Ramallah and El-Bireh decided on actions to urge Britain to apologize for the Balfour Promise"
"The [Palestinian] National and Islamic Forces of the Ramallah and El-Bireh District have decided to hold a series of public activities in order to urge Britain to officially apologize for the promise to establish a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine, and to demand that it annul the disastrous consequences it caused the Palestinian people.
The forces said: 'These activities will start from the beginning of October [2017] and will include ongoing sit-in strikes, processions, and letters of protest that will reach their climax on Nov. 2 [2017], which is the 100th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration).'
This declaration came as part of a statement published by the forces after the meeting of their leaders in Ramallah yesterday [Sept. 26, 2017]..."
The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
