PA daily: Israelis visiting the Temple Mount on a Jewish holiday carried out “invasions” of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, organized by “alleged Temple” organizations

Headline: “The occupation is continuing to burden occupied Jerusalem – the settlers are renewing the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“Yesterday [Oct. 15, 2017] groups of settlers renewed their invasion of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza through the Lion’s Gate [of the Old City of Jerusalem] amid reinforced protection from the occupation forces, and the settlers carried out provocative dubious tours at the blessed mosque plaza. The Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza was witness to widespread invasions by settlers last week, as a response to the calls of what are called the alleged Temple organizations to their activists and to the settler public to widely participate in collective invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza for the Jewish Sukkot holiday.”

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an “invasion.” It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.

"Alleged Temple organizations" refer to religious Jewish movements including the Temple Mount Institute, the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation, The Initiative for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount and Students for the Temple Mount, which spread awareness of the importance of the Temple Mount in Judaism and encourage people to visit the site.
