“[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas consoled Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi ‘Farmajo’ [Mohamed] over the victims of the terror attack that took place in the capital Mogadishu (358 murdered, see note below –Ed.). In the telegram of consolation, the president emphasized his condemnation of this criminal attack which is in contradiction of the religions of the revelation and human ethics. He said a prayer for the souls of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
The terror attack mentioned refers to a car bombing on Oct. 14, 2017 in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, in which 358 people were murdered and over 200 wounded. The Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist organization Al-Shahab took credit for the attack.
