The image shows a drawing of a man with a keffiyeh (Arab headdress) around his neck, and a necklace on which is a key symbolizing the return of the Palestinian refugees and a Palestinian flag along with the number “69” representing 69 years since the “Nakba” – i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel. The man is seen ripping up the Balfour Declaration (written in Arabic,) whose title is also written in English: “Balfour Declaration.”
In the upper left corner appears the number “100” in a reference to the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, and next to it “#Balfour_the_crime_of_the_century” in Arabic and “#MakeItRight” in English.
At the bottom center of the image appears in Arabic and English: “Justice and Freedom For Palestine,” and below it in Arabic: “The National Committee to Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration).” In the bottom left of the image appear the logos of the Badil Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights and of the Global Palestinian Refugee Network.
