“The [Gazan] Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the military faction of the Fatah Movement, said that it will respond to every attack on the movement’s leadership, and this is in response to the occupation’s threats against [Fatah] Movement Deputy Chairman [and Fatah Central Committee member] Mahmoud Al-Aloul ‘Abu Jihad (the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Gaza have no connection to the Fatah leadership in Ramallah -Ed.).’
The notice published by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades ‘Al-Asifa Army,’ the military wing, emphasized that the statements of [Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Yoav] Mordechai and his threats against the Fatah leadership will only increase the determination to continue on the path to liberation and will not intimidate Fatah or deter the firm leadership from the fundamental principles. The statement also emphasized that any attack on one of the Fatah leaders will have heavy consequences as we will not sit idly by but will respond with all [our] might…
