PA TV filler praises Palestinian girl who physically assaulted Israeli soldiers
Official PA TV filler praising Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi who physically assaulted two Israeli soldiers together with her cousin and mother, see note below; the filler features video from the incident as well as images and text
Text on screen:
“Palestinian courage knows no bounds. Ahed Tamimi, a 16-year-old young woman, stood before the soldiers. This armed soldier received slaps he will never forget, and [Tamimi] does not fear him. Despite her youth, this is not the first confrontation between them [Tamimi and her cousin] and the occupation soldiers. And regarding Ahed, winner of the 2012 Handala Courage Award, [she has] a long history of struggle. Social media stormed in solidarity with #Ahed_Tamimi. It should be noted that 339 prisoner minors [are imprisoned] in the oppressive occupation’s prisons. Our children were born for freedom!”
Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi, 16, physically assaulted two Israeli soldiers together with her cousin and mother on Dec. 15, 2017, in Nabi Saleh north of Ramallah, in a filmed incident evidently intended to provoke the soldiers. Tamimi was later arrested along with her cousin and mother.
