Palestinian student on US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital: “We will not relinquish Jerusalem except through Martyrdom”

Jerusalem student Iyad Amr: “We will not relinquish Jerusalem except through Martyrdom (Shahada) – even Martyrdom will not cause us to relinquish Jerusalem. We will be buried in the land of Jerusalem. Even when we die we will defend Jerusalem… and we will determine the struggle with the occupation, Allah willing. Palestine and Jerusalem will remain Arab and Islamic for as long as Allah wants.”
US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel - On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and instructed the State Department to begin preparations to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.
