Op-ed in official PA daily calls Israel a “colonialist pawn,” claims Israel has been Palestinian “since the dawn of mankind”
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist of the official PA daily
Headline: “History is the engine of politics”
“The State of Israel is a lawbreaking state that has no connection to the Jewish issue, as it is essentially a colonialist pawn. This is because the West that worked relentlessly for the establishment of the Israeli state and used the Jews as tools to realize its will was never interested in solving the Jewish issue. It only wanted to create a funded tool that would serve its goals and vital interests in the heart of the peoples and states of the Arab world, in order to tear them to shreds, fragment them, steal their resources, and leave them in a permanent state of backwardness and dependence. At the same time, it must be emphasized that historical Palestine has been the country of the Palestinian people since the dawn of mankind, and [the Palestinian people] was here before Abraham, peace be upon him, before Moses, and before the creation of all of the monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.”
