PA Education Minister: UK supports PA education, Israel is “Israelizing and Judaizing the education” in Jerusalem
Headline: “Saidam: Britain has again supported education in Palestine”
“[PA] Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saidam said that Britain has again committed to supporting education in Palestine through several plans and projects whose goal is to advance this essential sector.
This was said during Minister Saidam’s visit with British Minister of [State for the Department for International] Development Alistair Burt in London yesterday [Jan. 23, 2018]…
Saidam noted that the meeting dealt with many important matters and issues, the most prominent of which were emphasizing Britain’s commitment to the international position that opposes the American position, guaranteeing the flow of aid to UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), and supporting new projects that the ministry intends to launch in cooperation with the British Council of Culture.
He explained that in the meeting the ways of supporting education in Jerusalem were also discussed, particularly in the shadow of the brutal attack to which it is being subjected and the incessant violations against this sector: the arrest of children, students, and educators, and the corruption of the collective national identity by targeting the Palestinian schoolbooks, distorting them, inciting against them, and Israelizing and Judaizing the education.”
