Headline: “Abu Yusuf: Putting Ismail Haniyeh on the terror list is part of America’s hostile position”
“Secretary-General of the Palestinian Liberation Front and PLO Executive Committee member Dr. Wasel Abu Yusuf said that putting [Chairman of Hamas' Political Bureau] brother Ismail Haniyeh on the terror list is part of America’s hostile position regarding the Palestinian people’s rights, and that this position is a clear translation of its partnership with the occupation in the open war against the Palestinian people’s rights.
Abu Yusuf added in an interview with the media outlets that accusing brother Ismail Haniyeh comes as part of the American positions against our people’s rights, and we reject putting brother Haniyeh or any other personage or faction on the terror list. He also emphasized that Hamas and its leadership are a fundamental part of our people and that the demands of our people cannot be defined as ‘terror,’ as this is a legal struggle that is anchored in the decisions of the international bodies…
Abu Yusuf emphasized the need for national unity to manage the conflict with the occupation, for adherence to all forms of intifada and political, popular, and combative resistance, and for agreement on the priorities of each one of them through joint political assessment of the situation and its direct and anticipated developments.”
Chairman of Hamas’ Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh was added to the US terror list by the US State Department on Jan. 31, 2018.
