PA TV “Israeli affairs expert” acknowledges Holocaust, but compares Israeli government to Nazi Germany
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, review of Israeli press headlines with PA TV “Israeli affairs expert” Fayez Abbas
Visual: PA TV’s “Israeli affairs expert” Fayez Abbas presents a cartoon from the Israeli paper Yediot Aharonot for Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 12, 2018. The cartoon shows a young man using a cell phone to photograph an elderly woman with numbers on her arm, indicating that she is a Holocaust survivor. The woman says: “Make sure you don’t run out of memory,” to which he replies: “Don’t worry grandma.”
PA TV “Israeli affairs expert” Fayez Abbas: “The cartoon today [April 12, 2018] in the [Israeli] paper Yediot Aharonot – of course, an elderly female Holocaust survivor with the number that they put on the Jews on her arm. She says to her grandson: ‘Make sure you don’t run out of memory,’ referring to the camera, and he says to her: ‘Don’t worry grandma.’ Of course this describes what is happening now and the memory of the Jews’ Holocaust in Nazi Germany. But the question is whether [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s government is learning or drawing lessons from what happened in Germany during that period – the laws, the members of the Aryan race, and the members of the superior race – that is what Netanyahu’s government is currently perpetrating.”
