Op-ed in official PA daily glorifies terrorist responsible for the murder of 125 people, refers to Israel as a “myth that was born out of emptiness”

Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: “Khalil Al-Wazir ‘Abu Jihad’ on the 30th anniversary of his death as a Martyr”

“His dream of a comprehensive revolution was very early, and the distance between his mind and his fingertips through which he implemented his ideas was very short, a negligible distance. Therefore, Khalil Al-Wazir (i.e., terrorist Abu Jihad, responsible for murder of 125) the youth, who in 1954 was still wearing school pants and riding his bicycle, had already realized the beginning of his great dream and expressed his ideas by creating the first bomb that was planted in the water project in the Israeli Nahal Oz settlement located in the Gaza Envelope (i.e., area in Israel near the Gaza border. Possibly refers to an attempted bombing of the Zohar water reservoir in 1955 –Ed.)
That same small explosive was an expression of the fetus that developed within the oppressed and wounded Palestinian people, whose wound was disparaged by all, and who the large [powers] belittled, openly conspired against, and stole its homeland and gave it for free as a gift to a myth that was born out of emptiness, whose name is Israel.”

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir)
- a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960’s - 1980’s. These attacks, which murdered a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and murder of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
