Fatah official: PA will pay salaries of PA employees in Gaza that were delayed

“Fatah Movement Central Committee member Abbas Zaki told… [the independent Palestinian news agency] Donia Al-Watan: ‘By the end of the month [April 2018], the salaries of the PA employees in the Gaza Strip will be paid, and none of the civilians’ rights will be harmed. This is a right and not charity. They worked in official positions and therefore are eligible for salaries, and it is natural that they will receive their salary.’
He explained that no decision has been made to steal anyone’s salary, and emphasized the statements of the Palestinian [PA] government, which has said that the salaries of the employees in the southern districts (i.e., the Gaza Strip) have not been paid due to technical reasons.”
