Fatah spokesman: “The conceit and arrogance of Trump’s administration will meet only with resistance from our people and its leadership”
Headline: “Fatah: Only our people will determine its fate and its future”
“Fatah Movement Spokesman Atef Abu Saif said… that only our people will determine its fate and its future, and that all of the attempts to eliminate the national cause will shatter on the rock of the Palestinian resolve.
He said in a statement: ‘No deal will determine our future for us, and no one will decide for us. The conceit and arrogance of [US President Donald] Trump’s administration will meet only with resistance from our people and its leadership. Those who thwarted all of the previous attempts to eliminate [the Palestinian cause] and struggled to defend the rights and principles will continue in their struggle, regardless of the price…’ The Fatah spokesman concluded his words by saying: ‘Only the Palestinian Arab people will determine the course. No power on the face of the earth can force something on us that will detract from our rights. These are the rights for which the Palestinian revolution broke out, and for which the Martyrs (Shahids) ascended [to Heaven], and they emphasize this in their wills.’”
