A Zionist state solved the Jewish problem in Europe

 "The Jews sought a land to settle as a solution to their situation; Europe applauded this trend because it wanted to get rid of the Jews and their problems, and thus arose the Zionist movement with a secular leadership... and Herzl began to employ the myth of the land promised by the Torah, which became the most important principle of Zionist thought."
