Fatah claims Israel commits “terror and murder,” but yesterday’s killing of Israelis was merely an “operation”

Yesterday, a 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist murdered two of his Israeli coworkers in a factory in the Barkan Industrial Zone, a place known as an example of coexistence where Palestinians and Israelis work together. It was established in 1982, and is situated between the Palestinian city of Qalqilya and the Israeli city of Ariel. Thousands of Israelis and Palestinians currently work there.
On the official Facebook page of Abbas’ Fatah Movement, a Fatah official blamed Israel for the murders, stating that “Israel... is incapable of protecting anyone that steals the Palestinian land” and announced that no Israeli is safe until the Palestinian people gain “its rights in its homeland.” Israel, he said, uses “terror and murder,” while he himself coined yesterday’s killing of two Israeli civilians an “operation.” [Official Fatah Facebook page, Oct. 7, 2018, see below]
The fact that Fatah did not condemn the murder of the two Israelis is no surprise, because Fatah and the PA continue to glorifyterrorist murderers as "heroes", as documented by Palestinian Media Watch. Just 4 days before the murders, Fatah glorified another murderer of 2 as a “heroic Martyr.” Murderer Muhannad Halabi stabbed and killed 2 Israelis in the Old City of Jerusalem in 2015:

PA TV’s Israel Affairs expert Fayez Abbas accused Israel of incitement for defining the murder as a Palestinian terror attack, asserting falsely, that there were doubts about the motive for the murder. He likewise used the term “operation”:
“Of course the main headlines in the Israeli media [are] yesterday’s operation, the Barkan industrial zone factory operation, and responses. All of the responses are known of course; they incite in a despicable way. Until now the circumstances are not clear, but for Israel the most important thing is to make accusations of an operation under nationalist circumstances, knowing that according to how the operation was carried out there are doubts.”

In the Gaza Strip, people rejoiced over the murders and some gave out sweets to celebrate:

The terror organization Hamas called the murders “a heroic operation” and a “natural response to the Israeli occupation's crimes.” The terror organization Islamic Jihad also justified the attack as “natural,” and added that “the settlements are a legitimate target for people of the resistance.” The movement also called for more attacks, encouraging people to “carry out intifada against the settlement terror, until its removal and the liberation of the West Bank from the settlements and the settlers.” [Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Oct. 7, 2018]
As the many recent Palestinian teenage terrorists, yesterday’s murderer, Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa, has also grown up being brainwashed by the PA and its educational system that murdering Israelis is “heroic.”

"Pictures were published on social media today (Sunday) [Oct. 7, 2018] of civilians handing out candy in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip out of joy over the operation (i.e., terror attack, 2 murdered) that a young Palestinian carried out in the settlement of Barkan in the northern West Bank, in which 2 Israelis were killed and a third wounded...
The Hamas Movement welcomed the operation and described it as 'heroic.' It said in a statement: 'While we welcome the heroic operation, we emphasize that it was carried out as part of the natural response to the Israeli occupation's crimes against our people, which are ongoing in all of the Palestinian areas. [Hamas] also emphasizes that our people will not sit idly by in the face of the settlers invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the unceasing desecration of its plazas by them...'
Islamic Jihad Movement Information Department Spokesman Daoud Shihab said that the operation is a natural response to the occupation's crimes in Gaza, Jerusalem, and Khan Al-Ahmar (Bedouin encampment slated for demolition; see note below -Ed.). He added that 'The settlements are a legitimate target for people of the resistance and those rebelling.'
The Islamic Jihad Movement called to 'the members of our proud people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and everywhere to carry out intifada against the settlement terror, until its removal and the liberation of the West Bank from the settlements and the settlers.' It emphasized that '[the spilling of] the heroic Martyrs' blood, the targeting of children, and the harming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque will not pass in silence.'"

Posted text: "The Israeli government - whichtries to protect those who steal the Palestinian land and to deny the rights of the Palestinian people, which have been established by international decisions and law - is incapable of protecting anyone that steals the Palestinian land, regardless of what [military] equipment it owns, how much power it has, and how much it uses terror and murder. Today's [Oct. 7, 2018] operation is additional proof of this.
The only solution lies in recognizing the rights of our people, by realizing the Palestinian national independence in the framework of a free and fully sovereign state, which will be established on the occupied land and on the June 4, 1967, borders, and whose capital is East Jerusalem.
Any attempt to bypass these rights will not benefit Israel and will not bring security to it and its citizens as nobody will achieve security as long as our people remains denied its rights in its homeland.

Barkan Industrial Zone Attack - 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa shot and murdered 2 Israelis, Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel and Ziv Hajbi, in a factory in the Barkan Industrial Zone near Ariel on Oct. 7, 2018. Na'alwa fled the scene and has not yet been apprehended as of Oct. 8, 2018. Until this attack, the Barkan Industrial Zone had been an example of coexistence with Israelis and Palestinians working together.
Khan Al-Ahmar is a site where Palestinian Bedouins have illegally erected dwellings and a school, mostly simple shacks, on land in Area C (i.e., land under full Israeli administration according to the Oslo Accords). The Israeli authorities have ordered the demolition of these structures and offered alternative sites for them. A number of petitions to the Israeli Supreme Court against the demolition orders have been considered and then rejected by the court. As of Oct. 8, 2018, the illegally constructed buildings have not been demolished. Palestinians have held protests at the site against the demolition, some of which have turned violent.
Muhannad Halabi - 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist who murdered 2 Israelis, Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi and Aharon Bennett, and injured Bennett’s wife, Adele, and their 2-year-old son in a stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 3, 2015. Following the attack, he was shot and killed by Israeli security forces. Prior to his attack, in a post to his Facebook page, the terrorist referred to recent terror attacks as part of a "third Intifada,” and said that it was a response to Israel’s actions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and that the Palestinian people would not “succumb to humiliation.” This is a reference to the PA libel that Israel is plotting to take over and destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to the PA's portrayal of Jews praying on the Temple Mount as "an invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
