PA TV: “Israel has not stopped stealing everything that belongs to Palestine and affiliating it with itself, and marketing it as part of its alleged heritage” including snakes, as part of “Judaizing” the land

Official PA TV News, on Israel declaring the Palestine Viper its national snake

Official PA TV newsreader: “In Tel Aviv, what is called the [Israel] ‘Nature [and Parks] Authority’ has announced the Palestine Viper as a national symbol, after calling it the [Land of] Israel Viper. This comes as part of the occupation’s programs that are meant to steal everything Palestinian.”
Official PA TV reporter: "As part of the operation of Judaizing the land of Palestine, the occupation intends to steal the cultural and civilizational heritage, and especially the popular foods and clothing, and the animals' names, beginning with the Palestinian Mountain Gazelle (called the Land of Israel Gazelle in Hebrew –Ed.), the Jericho Scorpion (Nebo Jericho in Hebrew, in English Nebo Hierichonticus or the common black scorpion –Ed.), the hoopoe [bird], and the sunbird (i.e., honeyeater), and ending with the Palestine Viper, which the occupation’s hand has reached and named the ‘Israel Viper’…  The Israeli Nature Authority announced the change of this snake's name – which is known historically on the Arab and global level as the Palestine Viper that continues to constitute a national symbol from among the symbols of biodiversity in Palestine.
Israel has not stopped stealing everything that belongs to Palestine and affiliating it with itself, and marketing it as part of its alleged heritage. It is attempting with all of its might to convince the world that it has the right to Palestine and is rooted in history through its attempts to distort the facts on the ground. Even the snake – whose homeland has been stolen, whose name has been stolen, and who the occupation falsely affiliates with itself – is additional proof of its effort to write its history, even if through theft."
