The photoshopped picture which is apparently taken from a collection of stock photos shows a darkened European looking street with a Palestinian flag flying from one of the windows. The Dome of the Rock appears in the background. In the upper left corner is the Fatah logo that includes a grenade, crossed rifles, and the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas.

The Fatah Movement said that our people will win the battle to defend Jerusalem despite the occupation. In a statement by [Fatah] Movement Spokesman Dr. Atef Abu Saif it was conveyed that the battle to defend the Palestinian presence in our capital, the capital of our forefathers, constitutes an important turning point in the battle for eternal Palestinian presence, for what Jerusalem represents, and for the significance it has in our national sentiments and awareness. We in Fatah are determined until our last breath in this battle, and the occupation has known from us only intransigence in this confrontation. The Fatah heroes in Jerusalem are those who will control the contours of this battle of blood when they reach the path of the daring Martyrs (Shahids), and at their head is leader of Jerusalem Faisal Al-Husseini (i.e., senior Fatah and PLO terror leader in the 1970s) and the group of Martyrs of the revolution in the capital. Jerusalem calls on us to continue the struggle whatever the cost may be, and it will cost as much as needed in order to end the [Fatah-Hamas] rift and the suffering of the group (refers to PA leaders and PA Security Forces members arrested in Jerusalem by Israel –Ed.) [Jerusalem] calls to Hamas to take the matter seriously. The Palestinian people’s interests cannot wait forever behind the rift’s gates and its rusty locks. Fatah added that what is taking place in Jerusalem requires serious national resolve, an investment of efforts, and the unification of forces for the uprising of the people everywhere it is located in order to support the sanctified city.”
