Headline: "Assaf: We will use all of our capabilities to support the resolve of the Abu Hmeid family in Al-Amari"
"Head of the Committee to Resist Settlements and the Wall Walid Assaf emphasized that the willpower to remain, the resolve, and the defiance with which our people are endowed will thwart all of the occupation’s racist steps and its unfair decisions.
Assaf said this yesterday [Dec. 6, 2018] during a visit of members of the Committee to Resist the Settlements and the Wall that he led at the house of the Abu Hmeid family in the Al-Amari [refugee] camp, which the occupation has decided to demolish (see note below –Ed.)
Assaf met with the mother of the prisoners and Martyr (Shahid) (i.e., terrorists, together murdered at least 10; see note below), the Khansa of Palestine Um Nasser [Abu] Hmeid. He emphasized to her that they came to visit her in order to draw a spirit of defiance and resolve from her in light of the strong determination and willpower with which she is endowed, as she is an example of everything that has been experienced by the Palestinian woman, the defender of the Palestinian dream.
In addition, Assaf noted that the committee, [its] staff, and its resources are enlisted in support of the resolve of the Abu Hmeid family and all of the Palestinian families against whom the occupation is committing its crimes and violations…
Assaf conveyed to Um Nasser his greetings and the greetings of the committee's staff to her prisoner sons and to all of the prisoners of freedom who constitute torches that are lighting for us the path of freedom and building the state until Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the State of Palestine…
It should be noted that the Abu Hmeid family has sacrificed a Martyr and six prisoners who were sentenced to heavy sentences adding up to 19 life sentences."

The demolition of the Abu Hmeid house was ordered following Islam Yusuf Abu Hmeid's murder of Israeli soldier Ronen Lyubarsky on May 24, 2018. It was ordered in Sept. 2018, and in December 2018 the Israeli Supreme Court rejected an appeal against the demolition.

Abu Hmeid was honored by the PA in 2010 and in 2015, and was chosen in 2011 to launch the PA’s statehood campaign with the UN.
Her terrorist sons are: Islam Yusuf Abu Hmeid, who admitted to murdering 1 on May 24, 2018, and is on trial (as of Dec. 9, 2018); Muhammad Abu Hmeid, who is serving 2 life sentences and 30 years for involvement in terror attacks; Nasser Abu Hmeid, who is serving 7 life sentences and 50 years for murdering 7 Israeli civilians and 12 attempted murders; Nasr Abu Hmeid, who is serving 5 life sentences for involvement in two terror attacks in which 4 were murdered and arms dealing; Sharif Abu Hmeid, who is serving 4 life sentences for involvement in terror attacks in which 4 were murdered; Abd Al-Mun'im Muhammad Yusuf Naji Abu Hmeid, who murdered 1 on Feb. 13, 1994, and was killed by Israeli military undercover agents on May 31, 1994.
