However, the map designates this coast as the “Palestinian Coastal Plain” and makes no mention of Israel. The text accompanying the map states that this coast, which runs from the Israeli city of Haifa in the North to Gaza in the South, is located in “Palestine.” Translation of relevant text: "In Palestine the coastal plain resembles a triangle with the northern city of Haifa at its head [...] and extends southward with its base in the Gaza region.” Map in Palestinian Authority schoolbook published in 2003-2004, currently in use.
