“The [PA] government and the factions held the occupation government responsible for the crimes of the execution of the three Martyrs (Shahids) Ashraf Na’alwa (i.e., terrorist, murdered 2), Saleh Barghouti (i.e., terrorist, murdered baby and wounded 7 others), and Majdi Jamal Mteir (i.e., terrorist, wounded 2). They also demanded that the international community intervene immediately in order to rein in the Israeli army’s crimes and provide protection for our people in light of the crimes that the occupation has committed in the past 24 hours.
PLO Executive Committee member [and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy] Dr. Hanan Ashrawi condemned the series of war crimes that Israel is committing against the members of our unarmed people, the last of which was the killing and execution of three citizens in cold blood in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while openly and intentionally violating all of the international and humanitarian conventions and laws…
In Ramallah and El-Bireh, the Fatah Shabiba [Youth] Movement in the district called on its members and supporters to stand against the occupation forces in all of the areas of friction and to unite around the members of our people against the Israeli occupation’s aggression and the settler gangs’ crimes in the district.
In a statement yesterday, Thursday [Dec. 13, 2018], Shabiba eulogized our people’s heroic Martyrs Saleh Barghouti, Ashraf Na’alwa, and Majdi Mteir, who ascended to Heaven after being executed by the occupation’s soldiers.
Shabiba called on our people to unite and close ranks at this critical juncture that our people is experiencing, and condemned all of the racist crimes against the members of our Palestinian people by the settler gangs, which merit protection by the occupation state’s arms.”

Barkan Industrial Zone Attack – 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa shot and murdered his 2 Israeli coworkers Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel and Ziv Hajbi in a factory in the Barkan Industrial Zone near Ariel on Oct. 7, 2018. Na'alwa fled the scene, but was located two months later in Nablus and shot and killed in a shootout when the Israeli army and police tried to apprehend him on Dec. 13, 2018. The Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas' military wing) claimed responsibility for the attack.
Until this attack, the Barkan Industrial Zone had been an example of coexistence with Israelis and Palestinians working together.
Ofra shooting attack – Palestinian terrorists shot and wounded 7 Israelis - a pregnant woman, her husband, another man, and 4 teenagers - in a drive-by shooting attack next to Ofra, north of Jerusalem, on Dec. 9, 2018. The pregnant woman was severely wounded and doctors had to deliver her baby prematurely before operating on her. The baby died three days later. The terrorists fled the scene but were located three days later. One terrorist, Saleh Omar Saleh Barghouti, was shot and killed by the Israeli army during the attempt to apprehend him, while other terrorists were taken into custody. The Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas' military wing) claimed responsibility for the attack.
Majdi Mteir – Palestinian terrorist who stabbed 2 Israeli border police officers in the Old City of Jerusalem on Dec. 13, 2018, before being shot and killed by other officers at the scene.
