Op-ed in PA daily claims many prisoners have higher education and impregnate their wives while in prison
Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for the official PA daily and member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza
Headline: "The Palestinian prisoners' movement is one of the largest symbols of freedom"
"More than a million Palestinians have passed through the Israeli occupation's prisons throughout our ongoing path towards absolute independence and the realization of the independence of the State of Palestine with full sovereignty, whose capital is Jerusalem…
How many prisoners have entered prison not knowing how to read and write, and come out with a higher education [as] intellectuals? The Palestinian prisoners have amazed with their actions, their characteristics, and their virtues, and have even succeeded in having offspring while still imprisoned in their cells by smuggling their sperm and genes out of prison in order for them to be received by their wives’ wombs and to turn into fetuses afterwards!"
