“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned about the catastrophic dangers and consequences of the Judaizing excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque (sic., Israel does not excavate under the Temple Mount; see note below –Ed.), the Old City [of Jerusalem], and the village of Silwan (i.e., a neighborhood in Jerusalem) – what is known in the media as ‘the tunnel network’… The ministry held the occupation government fully and directly responsible for the excavations, their consequences, and their severe ramifications for the lives of the Palestinian residents.”
