PA and Fatah honor female terrorists
on International Women’s Day

Marking International Women’s Day, both the Palestinian Authority and Fatah chose to promote and honor female terrorists. Official PA TV singled out terrorist murderer Dalal Mughrabi and plane hijacker Laila Khaled, stressing that “the two self-sacrificing fighters” are among “the most prominent names of the Palestinian resistance”:

Official PA TV host: “Palestinian women have created a history filled with their resolve, with their strength, and [for] some of them - with [sacrificing] their freedom in prison... Through their Martyrdom-deaths Palestinian women have participated in chapters of struggle in the most prominent events in Palestinian history... It will never be possible to review the struggle of the Palestinian women without [mentioning] the two self-sacrificing fighters Dalal Mughrabi and Laila Khaled - the first woman who hijacked an Israeli plane - as the most prominent names of the Palestinian resistance.”

Likewise Fatah, the ruling party in the PA and headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, has emphasized Palestinian women’s role as terrorists using weapons. The image above of the face of a Palestinian woman with the barrel of a rifle was posted by Fatah with the following text:Posted text: "And for International Women's Day:

Palestinian Media Watch reported last week that PA TV to mark International Women’s Day broadcast an interview with Director of the Palestinian Women's Union in Gaza, Amal Hamad, in which she highlighted several female terrorists, among them two suicide bombers: 
"We have had female Martyrs, wounded, and prisoners... The women were the first to take part in the battle. That is why we also have female Martyrs - Shadia Abu Ghazaleh (i.e., terrorist, prepared bombs for terror attacks), Dalal Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children), Wafa Idris (i.e., first female suicide bomber, murdered 1), Ayyat Al-Akhras (i.e., youngest female suicide bomber, murdered 2), Darin Abu Aisheh (i.e., female suicide bomber, wounded 3)..."

Laila Khaled - Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist who participated in the hijacking of TWA flight 840 from Rome to Athens on Aug. 29, 1969 and the hijacking of El Al flight 219 from Amsterdam to New York on Sept. 6, 1970. The second hijacking was averted by the pilot and security personnel on board. They shot Khaled’s accomplice, Patrick Argüello, who had murdered one of the flight attendants. Khaled was overpowered and the plane landed in London, where Khaled was handed over and held by British police until she was exchanged on Oct. 1, 1970 for hostages held by the PFLP.
Shadia Abu Ghazaleh - Female Palestinian terrorist active in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization and prepared bombs for many attacks against Israel. While she was preparing a bomb for an attack in Tel Aviv in 1968, it accidentally detonated and killed her.
Wafa Idris - The first Palestinian female suicide bomber and a Fatah member. She carried out a suicide attack on Jaffa Road in central Jerusalem on Jan. 27, 2002, murdering 1 and wounding over 150. Idris abused her position as a volunteer for the Palestinian Red Crescent to bypass Israeli security and enter Jerusalem in a Palestinian ambulance.
Ayyat Al-Akhras - The youngest female Palestinian suicide bomber (aged 17). A member of Fatah, Al-Akhras carried out a suicide bombing attack near a Jerusalem supermarket on March 29, 2002, murdering 2 and wounding 28.
Darin Abu Aisheh - Female suicide bomber from Fatah who carried out a suicide attack at the Makkabim checkpoint between Modiin and Jerusalem on Feb. 27, 2002 after she was asked to get out of her car for inspection, wounding 3 police officers.
