“[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said: ‘We in the [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) and the [PLO] Central Council will reexamine all of the agreements that have been signed with Israel; it is impossible to continue to recognize Israel as long as it does not recognize us.’

During his speech at the fast-breaking meal held yesterday evening [May 25, 2019] by the North Hebron branch [of Fatah] in honor of the families of the Martyrs and the prisoners… Shtayyeh added: ‘Israel is waging a war against us over the narrative. It wants to falsify our narrative regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Christian narrative regarding the church, so that the Jewish narrative will rule. Regardless of what it does, it will not succeed in falsifying history, because our roots are stuck in his land.’”
