National and Islamic Forces call for “a day of popular demonstrations of rage” and “a day of escalation on the ground at the points of friction” in response to Bahrain Conference

“The National and Islamic Forces in the Ramallah and El-Bireh district called to carry out a number of activities in response to the workshop in Bahrain (refers to US-led conference in late June 2019 focusing on economic aspects of US President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan –Ed.), which will begin tomorrow (Monday) [June 24, 2019] and continue until Wednesday.

In a statement yesterday, the forces called to consider tomorrow a day of popular demonstrations of rage as a sign of resistance to the plans to eliminate [the Palestinian cause], and the plots to eliminate our people’s rights. They noted that the gathering will be at 11:00 a.m. at Al-Manara Square in Ramallah, and afterwards there will be dispersal to the areas of friction… as an escalation of the popular resistance, as a basic right of our people and in order to thwart the plot.

They also called to consider Tuesday, June 25 [2019], as a day of escalation on the ground at the points of friction at 12:00 p.m., in parallel to the opening of the workshop in Bahrain (sic., the workshop opens on June 24, as above).”
