Released prisoner and member of Awarta Mosque Abd Al-Salam Al-Jamal: “As we all know, during the first and second Intifadas, but particularly during the first Intifada, the mosques functioned as mass media through which they would announce days of escalation, strike days, marches, and funerals of the Martyrs. The mosque functioned as mass media through which they would announce all of the intifada activities.”
